Could a supersonic or sonic bullet work on a suppressed weapon and still be silent?

Cause I see that sniper rifles can be suppressed weapons yet they do not fire subsonic bec. the bullet will take to long to reach its target, bec. the bullet will drop so much, and it will not deliver enough kinetic energy on impact
