Is acromegaly a hereditary disease? Will u please answer me ASAP:(?

My brother is 37 and now we've found out he has acromegaly. I'm so worried about him and also I'm worried about me! I'm 23 and I feel my shoe size is changing a little bit (but I'm not sure).I don't know if acromegaly is a hereditary disease or not.Do u have any information about acromegaly being hereditary? Please help me with this problem.Thanks so much.
